These terms and conditions (the "Terms and Conditions") govern the use of www.riverbenchcustoms.com (the "Site"). This Site is owned and operated by Natalie Amies. This Site is an ecommerce website.

By using this Site, you indicate that you have read and understand these Terms and Conditions and agree to abide by them at all times.

All content published and made available on our Site is the property of Natalie Amies and the Site's creators. This includes, but is not limited to images, text, logos, documents, downloadable files and anything that contributes to the composition of our Site.

Age Restrictions
The minimum age to use our Site is 16 years old. By using this Site, users agree that they are over 16 years old. We do not assume any legal responsibility for false statements about age.

These Terms and Conditions govern the sale of goods and services available on our Site.

The following services are available on our Site:

  • DIY Workshops.

The services will be paid for in full when the services are ordered.

These Terms and Conditions apply to all the goods and services that are displayed on our Site at the time you access it. This includes all products listed as being out of stock. All information, descriptions, or images that we provide about our goods and services are as accurate as possible. However, we are not legally bound by such information, descriptions, or images as we cannot guarantee the accuracy of all goods and services we provide. You agree to purchase goods and services from our Site at your own risk.

We reserve the right to modify, reject or cancel your order whenever it becomes necessary. If we cancel your order and have already processed your payment, we will give you a refund equal to the amount you paid. You agree that it is your responsibility to monitor your payment instrument to verify receipt of any refund.

Third Party Goods and Services
Our Site may offer goods and services from third parties. We cannot guarantee the quality or accuracy of goods and services made available by third parties on our Site.

Payments
We accept the following payment methods on our Site:

  • Credit Card & Debit (direct or Via Apple Pay/Google Pay)

  • QuickBooks Online (direct invoicing)

  • Square. (in person/markets)

When you provide us with your payment information, you authorize our use of and access to the payment instrument you have chosen to use. By providing us with your payment information, you authorize us to charge the amount due to this payment instrument.

If we believe your payment has violated any law or these Terms and Conditions, we reserve the right to cancel or reverse your transaction.

Where the Consumer Protection Act, or any other consumer protection legislation in your jurisdiction applies and cannot be excluded, these Terms and Conditions will not limit your legal rights and remedies under that legislation. These Terms and Conditions will be read subject to the mandatory provisions of that legislation. If there is a conflict between these Terms and Conditions and that legislation, the mandatory provisions of the legislation will apply.

Limitation of Liability
Natalie Amies and our directors, officers, agents, employees, subsidiaries, and affiliates will not be liable for any actions, claims, losses, damages, liabilities and expenses including legal fees from your use of the Site.

Indemnity
Except where prohibited by law, by using this Site you indemnify and hold harmless Natalie Amies and our directors, officers, agents, employees, subsidiaries, and affiliates from any actions, claims, losses, damages, liabilities and expenses including legal fees arising out of your use of our Site or your violation of these Terms and Conditions.

Applicable Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta.

Severability
If at any time any of the provisions set forth in these Terms and Conditions are found to be inconsistent or invalid under applicable laws, those provisions will be deemed void and will be removed from these Terms and Conditions. All other provisions will not be affected by the removal and the rest of these Terms and Conditions will still be considered valid.

These Terms and Conditions may be amended from time to time in order to maintain compliance with the law and to reflect any changes to the way we operate our Site and the way we expect users to behave on our Site. We will notify users by email of changes to these Terms and Conditions or post a notice on our Site.

SHIPPING POLICIES

Shipping Policies

Shipping and Delivery

 

All our products are made to order, please allow around 7-10 working days for your order to dispatch. Once dispatched you will receive an email confirmation, these can sometimes be filtered as spam so please check that folder too.


When you purchase goods from our Site, the goods will be delivered through one of the following methods:

  • Standard delivery by post. Delivery takes 10 business days.;

  • Priority delivery 3 - 7 days;

  • Expedited Delivery 1 - 3 days;

  • Expedited International (US) Shipping 3 - 7 days; or

  • Free Local (Cochrane) Pick up - Scheduled & Notified.

Delivery will take place as soon as reasonably possible, depending on the delivery method selected. Delivery times may vary due to supply chain backlogs or other unforeseen circumstances. Please note that delivery times do not include weekends and statutory holidays.

You will be required to pay delivery charges in addition to the price for the goods you purchase.

If you purchase goods from us for delivery to a destination outside Canada your purchase may be subject to import duties and taxes applied by the destination country. You are responsible for paying any such duties or taxes. Please contact your local customs office for more information before making a purchase. We are not responsible for the payment of any such duties or taxes and are not liable for any failure by you to pay them.

You are required to provide us with a complete and accurate delivery address, including the name of the recipient. We are not liable for the delivery of your goods to the wrong address or wrong person as a result of you providing us with inaccurate or incomplete information.

RETURN POLICIES

Refund and Return Policies

Refunds for Goods
Refund requests must be made within 15 days after receipt of your goods.

We accept refund requests for goods sold on our Site for any of the following reasons:

  • Good is broken;

  • Good does not match description;

  • Good is the wrong size;

  • Purchaser changed their mind; or

  • Good does not meet the purchaser's expectations.

Refunds do not apply to the following goods:

  • Sale Items;

  • Intimates;

  • Custom Orders; and

  • Used Product.

Custom and sale items can not be returned, but please get in touch with us if there are any questions or concerns about your order.

Exchanges

We do not accept exchanges on sale items or custom orders. We will entertain exchanges on pieces that are unused & in original packaging with branded tags & labels intact. The customer is responsible for all shipping costs related to their exchange.

The fastest way to ensure you get what you want is to return the item you have by clicking here, and once the return is accepted, make a separate purchase for the new item.

Refunds for Services
We provide refunds for services sold on our Site as follows:

  • The services will be fully refunded (minus any product costs if applicable) if the services are cancelled at least 48 hours before the services were scheduled to be provided.

Damaged Items 

In the unlikely event that all or part of your order arrives damaged please send us an email as soon as possible to info@riverbenchcustoms.com  with photographic proof of the damages (to the products and the condition of the outside packaging). These will be used to file a damages claim with the respective shipping service. We will do our best to asses and solve the issue with you.

FAQ'S

FAQ's

  • Do you ship worldwide?
    As of right now, we only ship across Canada & to the US. In the near future we are planning to expand shipping world wide.
  • Can I pick up my order locally & not pay shipping charges?
    Yes!! If you'd prefer to pick up your order directly from us please use Code: LOCALPICKUP at checkout in order to waive shipping charges. The Production time of your order will not differ from a standard order & you will be contacted directly via email to schedule an appropriate pick up time once your order is complete.
  • Do you deliver?
    While we don't normally deliver, for August to December of 2022 we will be implementing a local delivery schedule. To be announced.
  • Do you offer rush orders?
    It totally depends on the nature of your order & what's ahead of yours. Typically we operate on a first come first serve basis however we will welcome rush orders if our schedule & order demands allow for it. Rush orders mean you are paying to jump the line in production...not shipping, so please know that shipping delays are still possible & out of our control. (If you are picking up locally obviously shipping time doesn't apply). There is a premium attached to all rush orders & the charge will vary depending on what it is you are ordering. We have restocks, launches & custom orders going at all times so if you need something quickly please reach out via our contact form (please put Rush order inquiry in the subject field) as custom pricing & rush premiums will apply.
  • Do you offer wholesale?
    We are new to wholesale orders & are in the process of setting up an account with a popular online Wholesale marketplace. Our storefront there will feature the products available for wholesale however in the mean time if you have an interest in working with us please get in touch using our contact form.
  • When will I get my order?
    In short: 7 - 10 business days from date of dispatch. Long answer - with the current world wide supply chain & shipping situation we can't guarantee that timing however rest assured we will always do our best. Since our products are generally made to order, it can take anywhere from 3 - 10 days (excluding custom orders) to make & dispatch your order. I am a one woman show but always do my best to keep things moving in a timely fashion & greatly appreciate your patience.
  • How do I get a hold of you?
    If you have questions or concerns regarding an order please email info@riverbenchcustoms.com for help! Any other questions not regarding an order/return/exchange, my Instagram DMs are always open! (@rbcustomsltd) Due to the high influx of messages on Instagram I may not see your message, but I will try to respond!
  • Do you take custom orders?
    Absolutely! We have many Custom Options. You can customize the colors of any of our existing Jesmonite products. There is also the option of custom ordering silicone molds for your project & will require additional time depending. Custom orders need minimum 10 - 14 working days for production. Please use our custom quote contact form HERE to inquire.
  • Where can I find a size chart for apparel?
    Swipe left on the product photo listings until you get to the last slide (size chart is the last photo).
  • What materials are used for your Apparel line?
    Typically our apparel will be 50% Cotton /50% polyester with air jet yarn which means a softer feel and reduced pilling! Some of our T-Shirts are 100% cotton. You will always be able to find sizing & material specs within the individual product pages.
  • What is Jesmonite?
    Jesmonite products are toxin free composite materials, a combination of a reactive mineral base and a pure water based acrylic resin, which is why it is often referred to as an Eco Resin. It is lightweight, heat and fire resistant. All Jesmonite products are water-based, non-solvent and contain no VOC's. All items are sealed with an acrylic sealer to protect from water damage. You can find more technical information about the material on the official Jesmonite website.
  • How do I care for my Jesmonite Products?
    The items are sealed to be splash proof (depending on the designated use they could be sealed to be waterproof). They should be cleaned using a soft cloth and gentle soap. It is advised to clean harsh contaminants such as tea, coffee or wine as soon as possible to avoid stains. Jesmonite has not been tested for food safety, therefore we advise not to use it for serving food. It is not dishwasher or microwave safe.
  • Is Jesmonite Safe?
    In short, YES! Jesmonite has been tested extensively for it's eco friendly properties as well as Health/safety & Heat resistance. You can find the Jesmonite MSDS HERE!
  • Is Jesmonite Fire rated?
    Jesmonite products have been tested in accordance with EN 13501-1 under the harmonised Euroclass System of reaction to fire performance of building products which has been adopted by countries across Europe, which is why this product is very popular with candle makers.
  • What types of wood do you use for custom projects & Signs?
    Most of our projects are finished with High Quality Baltic Birch. We have started to branch out into exotic woods for our Charcuterie Board line that will be launching in the fall.
  • Is laser engraving food safe?
    YES! The engraving is a permanent laser etch. We seal (& will be selling) all our boards with a food safe oil or wax meant for that specific wood. The laser finish is essentially burned into the wood itself, and brushed to remove any particles post engraving. We encourage you to keep food safe mineral oil or waxes on hand & follow our care instructions in order to increase the longevity of your custom piece.
  • Do you do virtual home consults?
    Absolutely! The beauty of zoom calls. Be it design, organization, décor virtual is always an option. Please use our custom quote contact form HERE to inquire.
